Chaumet, originally founded as Nitot & Fils in the 1780s by Marie-Étienne Nitot, became the official jeweller to Napoleon, setting the famous Regent diamond in his consular sword. After transitioning through different owners, Joseph Chaumet took over in the late 19th century, modernising the house and expanding its reputation with lavish parures and adaptable designs. Today, Chaumet is renowned for both its historical significance and its innovative collections, like the Josephine and Bolero, blending imperial motifs with contemporary styles, all under the luxury umbrella of LVMH.
