Dior’s venture into jewellery began in 1948 with the creation of "Dior Costume Jewellery," designed to complement Christian Dior’s couture pieces following the success of his revolutionary "New Look." Recognizing the importance of jewellery in fashion, Dior began producing exquisite pieces that enhanced his designs, blending luxury with creativity. In 1998, Dior elevated its jewellery offering with the launch of "Dior Joaillerie," under the direction of Victoire de Castellane. This marked Dior’s entry into high jewellery, featuring precious metals like gold, and stones such as diamonds, rubies, and sapphires. Collections like "Rose Dior" and "Rose des Vents" showcase intricate floral motifs and bold designs using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary flair.
