Art Deco Platinum, Diamond and Onyx Lapel Watch by Janesich
A magnificent Art Deco lapel watch by Leopoldo Janesich. Incorporating a swan motif, this 1920s work of art is set throughout with old-cut diamonds and fancy-cut onyx stones mounted in platinum. French marks for platinum and maker’s marks. Length 10.8cm (=4.3 inches).
Monochrome became popular in Art Deco, with black enamel or onyx providing a sleek structure to rings, brooches and the increasingly popular collar clips and cigarette boxes.
