A 1960s ENAMEL & GOLD PANEL BRACELET

The cloissonné panels depicting various animals and birds and the words running through the bracelet 'Ille terrarum mihi praeter omnes angulus ridet', Latin for 'This corner of the earth smiles for me more than any other'. It was originally written by Horace but is also the motto for the Danish national anthem, the lyrics written by Adam Oehlenschläger in 1819. The simple clasp engraved with an angel and stamped to the reverse K RU. 750 and a heart-shaped emblem. Counter enamelled in green. 16.5 cm. European.
